- There is a known issue with the Bluetooth firmware version 1.0.4 on the SoundSend which is called a "Distance Disconnect Failure".
- To see your firmware version in the WiSA App, your SoundSend Firmware version must be at least 1.39 (Current version is 1.42) [Press the Settings button and navigate to "Device Info"]
- Next, you will need to get the Bluetooth functioning again with the instructions below
- Then use the "SoundSend Bluetooth Update Utility" found in the Apple App Store or Google Play. and follow the links below for instructions on how to use the utility.
If your SoundSend app does not connect to your SoundSend transmitter after a few uses, the problem is the app or the SoundSend thinks there is an active Bluetooth connection still.
We recommend closing the application completely after making adjustments while in range of the SoundSend to avoid any "distance disconnects" or "lost connections".
To resolve this issue, please do the following:
NOTE: Please take detailed notes of how the SoundSend light reacts during this whole process to provide to our Technical Team in case you still have issues connecting.
- Completely close the SoundSend application on your device.
- Unplug the SoundSend for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
- Wait until you see flashing white lights on the SoundSend and open the app.
After following these steps you should see the SoundSend flash blue, signifying a Bluetooth connection is being established.
If the above approach does not work for you, please follow the procedure below:
- Power down and restart your phone or device the SoundSend app is installed on.
- Wait for the phone or device to start up completely.
- Unplug the SoundSend for 10 seconds and then plug it back in.
- Wait until you see flashing white lights on the SoundSend and open the app.
