What is Bass Management and how does it work with the SoundSend?
Bass management is a feature that helps utilize all signal frequencies by sending the Low-Frequency Effects to a speaker that can reproduce them (subwoofer).
When enabled, all audio that is not reproducible by the intended speaker/channel is redirected to a speaker/channel that is able to reproduce it. So depending on the electronic crossover point of your speakers(set in the factory), whatever is unable to be reproduced will be sent to the subwoofer, which is generally 120Hz or lower, but that depends on the speaker brand. Furthermore, for example, if you are playing 5.1 content with bass management on, you may get a boost in your LFE content for your subwoofer if the content is providing full range audio to a speaker that has a higher crossover. In a separate example, using a 2.1 configuration with a 2.0 stereo source, without bass management, will result in no bass from the subwoofer. Enabling bass management will take the crossovers from the other 2 channels and supply the lower frequencies to the subwoofer.
